Work With Me

Commission thoughtful writing that makes complex subjects accessible. Trey Schmitt is an independent journalist, author and researcher based in Los Angeles, and co-founder of TRTSKCS Publications.

Articles and explainers

Discuss reported features, research-led explainers and analysis on business, economics, technology, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure. The scope, sources, reporting requirements and deliverables are agreed before work begins.

Essays and commentary

Commission an argued perspective on culture, identity, power, recovery, media or the systems shaping everyday life. Opinion is identified as opinion and kept distinct from reported findings.

Research and editorial collaboration

Enquire about background research, public-record research support and development of complex subjects into accessible articles. This is editorial work, not legal, medical or investment advice.

Interviews and speaking

Invite Trey to discuss his books, independent publishing, writing, research methods, or the themes explored in his work. Please describe the audience, format and intended use.
