Editorial Standards
These standards guide new work and future revisions on Treyschmitt.com. Older archive pieces may need additional sourcing or updates; this policy is not a claim that every archived article has undergone a fresh fact-check.
Sources and evidence
Material factual claims should be supported by identifiable, reliable sources. Original records and primary documentation are preferred when available. Estimates, hypothetical examples and forecasts should be identified clearly. A shared name, address or registered agent is a research lead, not proof of common ownership or misconduct.
Reporting, analysis, opinion and satire
Explanatory articles describe a subject; analysis interprets evidence; opinion and personal essays advance an argument or perspective. Satire and fiction use creative expression. These forms should be identified so readers can assess their purpose. Allegations must remain attributed and distinct from verified findings.
Corrections and updates
To report a possible error, email trtskcs@gmail.com with the article URL, the passage in question and supporting evidence. Substantive factual corrections should be explained in a dated note on the affected article. Routine formatting changes need not imply new reporting.
AI assistance
AI tools have assisted with drafting, editing, research organization and website formatting for material on this site. AI output is not a primary source and may contain errors. Claims and citations require human review against original evidence. AI assistance must not be presented as an interview, firsthand observation or independent verification that did not occur.
Independence and conflicts
Paid placements, sponsorships, affiliate relationships and material personal or financial interests relevant to an article should be disclosed. Commissioned promotional work should be labeled and distinguished from independent editorial work. Payment must not be represented as independent endorsement.
Research and professional advice
Articles are published for information, explanation and discussion. Readers should evaluate the evidence and seek qualified advice for decisions requiring legal, medical, financial or other professional judgment.
